REVIEW: Good Italian Restaurant in Singapore: AMANO ITALIAN RISTORANTE @ Bukit Timah

TBH, AMANO ITALIAN RISTORANTE is quite inaccessible and is located Namly pl. It is considered a hidden gem in the Bukit Timah area. Amano, which means "by hand," offers authentic Italian cuisine. Amano delivers a real taste of Italy's finest, from fresh pasta to hand-made pizzas, complemented with quality meats and seafood from across the world. I ordered their Carbonara and Minestrone soup. Amano is within walking distance from Sixth Avenue or Tan Kah Kee downtown line MRT station.

Address: 76 Namly Pl, Singapore 267226

Their Carbonara 🍝 is the classic kind that doesn't have heavy cream. The sauce is the amalgamation of bacon, pecorino, and egg yolk. The simplest cooking method but such a delicious plate of pasta. I also had their Minestrone 🍲 (V), a hearty stew with a mixture of vegetables, peas, and beans. Quite normal but a comforting stew to have

I ordered their Aglio e Olio. This savory Aglio olio dish has a little bit of spice, though was nice and garlicky. It was not very oily nor overly salty. Comes with Italian parsley and chili on top. If you like garlic, there are plenty of garlic chips on top.

I ordered their Truffle mushroom soup to go with the pasta. It was a blend of Portobello, porcini, and button mushrooms and was topped with cream, parsley, and olive oil. The truffle taste was very subtle and could be stronger. The soup was rich and thick with chunks of mushroom inside. I particularly enjoyed dipping the soft bread provided and eating it soaked in that umami.
