To commemorate its 31st anniversary, Soup Restaurant is launching two dine-in set menus: Anniversary and Celebration. Each set boasts heritage dishes that many Singaporeans grew up eating. The Anniversary Set will come with Soup Restaurant’s handmade Mini Longevity Buns so diners can join in the festivities! Filled with a sweet lotus paste, each bun is soft and fluffy on the outside, and warm on the inside.
Bond with family and friends over Soup Restaurant’s classic favorites while forging new memories together! Priced from $78 onwards for 2 to 10 pax, these dine-in sets will be available from now to 30 September 2022.
Key highlights of the Anniversary set include the following:
• Samsui Ginger Chicken: Soup Restaurant’s most popular dish! This is a traditional dish well loved by the Samsui women in Chinatown. Beautifully arrayed along with sliced cucumbers, the chicken is simply steamed with minimal seasoning. It is best enjoyed when dipped in the accompanying fragrant and piquant signature Samsui Ginger Sauce. Cocoon the chicken with a slice of lettuce for an extra crunch.
• Ah Kon Fan Shu Leaves: A fan favorite, the fan shu leaves are handpicked and carefully trimmed, and only the tender parts are used. The leafy greens are then stir-fried with Soup Restaurant’s homemade Samsui Sambal Sauce, which packs a spicy punch.
• Tofu Prawns: Think succulent prawns paired with soft silky egg tofu, and immersed in a sweet and tangy chili crab-inspired sauce! Mop up every drop of sauce with the accompanying mantou to complete the experience. As with all the spicy dishes offered by Soup Restaurant, a non-spicy, child-friendly version is available upon request.
• HK Steamed Uncle Lapan: Rich in Omega-3 and packed with collagen, the Uncle Lapan Fish is both tasty and nourishing. The fish has few bones, so even toddlers will find its enjoyment easy. The Uncle Lapan fish is first steamed over high heat, then topped with Soup Restaurant’s specially curated and fragrant soy sauce. The sauce imbues the fleshy and tender meat with a savory punch.
Round out the Anniversary Set with refreshing Red Tea Jelly with Aloe Vera and Soup Restaurant’s handmade Mini Longevity Buns. Besides the Anniversary Set, diners can also enjoy the Celebration Set, which comes with delights such as Crab Meat Fish Maw Soup, Cereal Prawns, Braised Fish Curd with Thick Mushroom & Broccoli, Sweet and Sour Pork, and more.
