Build Your Own Pasta from $5.90

Thin, thick, creamy, or tart, get your pasta exactly to your liking with the Your Pasta Project (from $5.90) feature. Choose from three bases – mushroom, tomato, or aglio olio – and select your toppings of choice. There are chicken, beef meatballs and Bolognese, crab meat, tiger prawns, clam meat, and even squid rings to add to a selection of products including cherry tomato, capsicum, black olives, red onion, button, and brown shimeji mushrooms, quail’s egg, onsen egg, anchovies, and rocket leaves. Finish them off with sprinklings of pine nuts, walnuts, fish roe, grated and shaved parmesan, basil pesto, and tomato pesto.

Once you’ve made your selections, your pasta will be served to you in a convenient takeaway box, in which you can shake up the pasta when you’re ready to dig in, to eat it fresh and thoroughly mixed up.

Meanwhile, the Wild Mushroom Penne ($9.90) douses penne pasta with an earthy delight of minced mixed wild mushrooms tossed in mushroom cream for a fungi-tastic affair. Fey’s Beef Bolognese ($12.40) is chef-owner Fey’s tried-and-tested crowd favorite of spaghetti tossed in a thick beef ragu, enriched with an onsen egg, while Grandma’s Project Meatballs Pasta ($12.40) borrows Chef Fey’s grandmother’s recipe for a meatball pasta with the juiciest, chunkiest beef meatballs laced with rich tomato sauce and sweetened with cherry tomatoes and emboldened with pomodoro sauce. Not to be missed is the Crunchy Tiger Prawns Aglio Olio ($12.40) made with succulent Tiger prawns laced with garlic and olive oil for a highly fragrant pasta finished off with black ebiko, as well as The Ultimate Carbonara ($12.40), the quintessential cream-based pasta laden with lashings of pancetta, garlic, cream, parmesan cheese and topped off with an onsen egg.

For the adventurous, house signature flavors entice with items like the Old Sichuan Mala Chicken Pasta ($16.20) of pasta laced with cubes of chicken tossed in a fiery, numbing mala chili paste peppered further with pine nuts and herbs and spice. The Garlicky Asian Seafood Linguine ($16.20) is a linguine dish laden with treasures of the sea including prawns, clams, and squid, held together by a spicy cream sauce and completed with black ebiko and a wedge of lime. Last but not least, the Fiery Pork Sausage Pasta ($16.20) is a meat lover’s favorite with spaghetti cooked with beef meatballs, pancetta, and n’duia sausage in a spicy sauce dressed up with cherry tomatoes, pomodoro sauce, fresh mozzarella and herbs, and spices.
