REVIEW: Good Cafes in Johor Bahru: IT Roo Cafe at Johor Bahru Malaysia

Went to JB with my friend to help him get his contact lenses. Wanted to bring him to The Replacement Lodge & Kitchen cafe or Faculty of Caffeine cafe. The replacement lodge is closing at 6pm and the faculty of caffeine is CLOSED! Didn't know where to go until I spotted this! The cafe operates in a pre-war building and has attracted a lot of locals and tourists like us who have come to the area for cafe hopping. It is an old-fashioned cafe that sells chicken chop! The interior is decorated with old pictures and the whole cafe just exudes a very vintage vibe. :)

This cafe was awarded the "Best Chicken Chop in Malaysia" title by The Star newspaper in 2003. They even put it up outside their shop. Not very humble, eh? haha

I have a choice of choosing grilled or fried chicken and black pepper or mushroom sauce. You can choose to add an egg to your chicken chop as well like me which costs RM17. Expect tender chicken with generous sauce here! Each order comes with a side of potato wedges and coleslaw. I have not tried any chicken chop in Malaysia before but this is one of the best I have eaten. :)
