RECIPE: CREAMY PASTA IN MUSTARD SAUCE

Problem with having too many mustard sauce and Pasta being my no.1 fav food! I researched how to cook pasta with mustard and found this perfect recipe from seasonsandsuppers. It is easy to follow and you can have your delicious creamy mustard pasta meal in 30 minutes.

Ingredients
  • 15 oz Mixed Mushroom (Can be any kind of mushroom)
  • 1 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup White wine (Used Brandy)
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tsp Dried Basil
  • 1/2 cup Pasta Cream
  • Spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup Freshly grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Black Pepper
Cooking Directions
  1. Saute the mushrooms over medium-high heat on a large skillet until golden brown.
  2. Meanwhile, add pasta to boiling water. Cook according to cooking instructions.
  3. Add wine to the skillet and allow to simmer until wine reduces by half. Add grainy mustard and dried basil. Stir well to combine. Reduce heat to medium-low. Add the cream, half of the grated Parmesan, a bit of salt and freshly ground pepper and stir well to combine.
  4. Remove/reserve 1 cup of pasta boiling water from pot then drain pasta and add to skillet with mushrooms and sauce. Add about 1/3 of a cup of the reserved pasta water. Over medium heat, cook, tossing the pasta in the sauce, until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the pasta. 
  5. Remove pasta to serving plates or bowls. Serve garnished with the additional grated Parmesan and a finishing sprinkling of salt and freshly ground pepper as needed.
