REVIEW: GEN SHU MEI SHI SHI JIA AT TOA PAYOH

Gen Shu Mei Shi Shi Jia
根叔美食世家
Simple, hearty, and comforting #Breakfastfood at Toa Payoh Vista Market. Gen Shu Mei Shi Shi Jia happened to be helmed by the Head Chef of Mouth Restaurant for 15 years before he retired. A chef with this caliber cooking in a hawker stall is probably not a common sight and that must mean this stall is a hidden gem coz.. not many people will know. haha

If you're near Toa Payoh central, you can go check out this food stall.

Here's what I had:

💎 Cantonese style congee
A comforting bowl of thick creamy congee with century egg. A good bowl of Cantonese-style congee has to have the silky-smooth consistency and this bowl does it.

💎 Chee Cheong Fun
White rice rolls drenched in sweet sauce.

💎 Spicy & Sour dumplings
红油抄手 is also known as spicy and sour dumplings were flavorful and substantial.

💎 Fried Noodles
Fried noodles have always been a staple for breakfast for me.
