REVIEW: TIPSY PENGUIN AT TAMPINES - DELICIOUS WAGYU CUBES AND CRAB MEAT CAPELLINI

A group of penguins is called "Huddle". The concept here is to have your friends over and gather at Tipsy Penguin. And of course, who can forget about alcohol when it's called "TIPSY" penguin. They have a variety of alcohol from draft beer, mocktails, shots, soju, red and white wine, sparkling, whiskey and house pour such as gin, vodka, tequila, etc.

It's basically a hybrid of Asian fusion bistro, sports bar, and live music haunt. If you got a large group with a minimum spending of $250, you can get their private KTV room to sing to your heart's content. It's a multi-concept restaurant that you don't want to miss! It is also located within walking distance from Tampines MRT Station.

Address: 300 Tampines Ave 5, #01-02A, Singapore 529653

We huddled at @tipsypenguinsg and ordered a plethora of dishes.

Crabmeat Capellini ($16)

This was one of my favs that day. Love pasta with Lobster ๐Ÿฆž Bisque! The capellini is tossed evenly in this umami concoction with a generous portion of crab meat and ikura.

Wagyu Beef Cubes ($18)

The wagyu beef cubes abit small but they were so tender. Kind of tasteless if we didn’t dip into the sauces provided.

Baked Chicken Curry Don ($14)

The baked chicken curry don reminded me of Japanese curry but is actually nonya influences. They used a specially curated home blend nonya rempah with fresh coconut milk. The curry is so thick and flavourful! Papadum is provided for us to scoop the delicious curry up. ๐Ÿ˜

Hawaiian Poke Bowl ($14)

Last but not least, we had the Hawaiian ๐ŸŒบ poke bowl. A simple bowl of diced Norwegian salmon, avocado, a generous dollop of ikura, and onsen egg on a bed of Japanese rice.

The Accidental Cheesecake ($10)

Definitely not yummy by accident, this accidental basque burnt cheesecake was yummy with a soft and gooey center but not molten enough. This was served with honeycomb ice cream.
