Hotpot Restaurant Taikoo Lane Celebrates the Launch of New Soup Bases and Side Dishes with a Limited-Time 1-for-1 Promotion

Known for its authentic Sichuanese and Cantonese delights, hotpot restaurant Taikoo Lane introduces 2 new soup bases along with 4 tasty side dishes just in time for 11:11!

The first new soup base is the Huadiao Collagen Soup (Half - $11.80 / Full - $20.80). Made with a base of premium pork knuckles, pork bones, and chicken, the broth is first simmered for more than 8 hours — upon serving, a special collagen jelly is added to the boiling broth

What’s more, a bottle of exquisite Chinese Huadiao wine is offered to customers as an option to add to the broth. Beloved for its soft and pleasant taste, the wine adds an unmistakable warmth and richness to the broth. As an added bonus, Huadiao wines are also noted for their numerous health benefits, thanks to the variety of amino acids and vitamins that it contains — in Chinese medicine, Huadiao wine is said to promote blood circulation, delay aging, and even stabilize irregular periods.

Next up is the new Spicy Pickled Baby Lobster Soup (Half - $16.80 / Full - $31.80), which is sure to appeal to spice and seafood lovers! A bevy of aromatics and spices — including Sichuan pickled Erjingtiao pepper, Homemade Pickled green pepper, and garlic powder — are first crushed together, then mixed in with the freshly-fried oil from a mixture of fragrant ginger and onions.

Once the savory mixture is complete, it’s added into the soup along with a generous helping of fresh crayfish and black mussels to create a wonderful umami flavor.

Taikoo Lane has also introduced 4 delicious new side dishes to complement these new broths. First up is the Lala Clams in Spicy Sauce ($12.80) — these fresh clams are separately cooked till tender before being doused in a special house sauce that includes green pepper and millet to create a tangy dish that will have you reaching for more.

Health-conscious diners can opt for the new Dragon Fruit Prawn Paste (Half - $8.40 / Full - $16.80), which utilizes only the best Arctic shrimp along with freshly-blended dragon fruit juice to create a vitamin-packed dish that’s naturally sweet and tasty.

There’s also the addictive Exploding Volcano Mashed Potatoes ($11.80), where tenderly steamed potatoes are mashed and formed into a cylindrical shape and stuffed with crunchy green beans and corn. The dish is also paired with juicy pork belly slices and mushroom slices, all stir-fried with a savory bean paste and secret sauce to being poured over the potatoes.  Enjoy the instance the sauce slushes over the mashed potato, creating an explosive blend of delicious, savory comfort food.

Meat-lovers will look forward to the Flaming Braised Pork Ribs ($16.80), which are marinated for up to an hour before being deep-fried to golden, crispy perfection along with some minced onions and carrots. This is a dish that’s especially Instagrammable: since spareribs taste especially good at high temperatures, this dish is wrapped in foil once it comes out of the wok. It’s then wrapped in another layer of flammable paper, which you waiter will light on fire at your table.

The flame helps to lock in the sauce into the spareribs to make it more tasty — once the paper finishes burning, simply peel back the tin foil and enjoy your warm, flavourful ribs.

1-for-1 soup bases to celebrate 11:11

To celebrate the launch of these new additions, the restaurant is running a limited-time 1-for-1 promotion: with any order of a soup base, customers can get either of the two new soups for free! Promotion is not applicable to individual pots.
