12 Pasta hawker stalls to satisfy your italian cravings in Singapore!

Today's goal: less upsetti and more spaghetti! Here's a compilation of 12 hawker stalls that sell some really good, cheap, and affordable pasta IMO. The standard pasta options that are available at western food stalls are carbonara, Aglio olio, and tomato-based pasta. I would love to see more variations for pasta sauces such as pesto, truffle, alfredo, or even cacio e Pepe. However, I have some options here that have pink sauce, Japanese fusion, and also handmade pasta!

1) Chef Choo Signature

I haven't really explored Golden Mile Food Centre yet but this Chef Choo Signature came up during my search for pasta. The owner is also an ex 5-star hotel restaurant chef from Grand Hyatt and Regent hotel. I ordered their signature sizzling seafood spaghetti which came piping hot in a cast-iron skillet. Love how this kept the pasta warm! Cooked in a delicious wine-enriched tomato sauce, a mix of seafood such as prawns, squids, clams, and mussels makes an elegant partner for the al dente spaghetti. Love the sweet tomato sauce and nothing can be better than eating a hot, fresh meal. 🍝
Apart from the pasta, they also have the usual western food mains such as chicken chop, pork chop, salmon, and seared beef.

Address: Golden Mile Food Centre, 505 Beach Rd, # B1-45, 199583

2) Desmond Pasta

Desmond pasta is also another hidden gem which is located at Kampong Ubi Industrial Estate. Desmond pasta is owned by an ex-chef from the famous P.S Café. Limited menu so I chose the Carbonara. So rich and creamy but not overwhelming at all. This comes with bacon and cherry tomatoes with an egg yolk in between.

Opening Hours: Mon-Fri 11 am - 8 pm
Sat 11 am - 4 pm

3) GO Pasta

GO Pasta features a variety of sauces such as Aglio olio, cream, tomato, and pink sauces. They do not have mains, however, you can choose chicken chop as your topping. I ordered Cream sauce spaghetti with the chicken chop. Too much cream already so it was a bit cloying, but the chicken chop was not bad.

4) Grill & Pasta

This Grill & Pasta at Sembawang Hill Food Centre is such a hidden gem la! My go-to at this place is their Carbonara with bacon which is so rich and creamy but can get cloying after a while. They are always so generous with their cheese too. They also have grilled mains such as chicken chop, pork chop, dory, salmon, and ribeye.

5) Ministry of Pasta and Grill

Ministry of Pasta and Grill features an extensive menu of pasta, grilled food, burgers, fried rice, and finger food. I ordered their Prawn Aglio olio which was recommended there. Although it was spicy and garlicky enough, however, it was a tad too salty. Perhaps, I will order something else next time.

6) Pasta Manna

Pasta Manna is a hawker stall at Old Airport Road Food Centre selling only pasta. All things pasta are right up my alley so it's all good! I ordered the Aglio olio e peperoncino with comes with 3 succulent and crunchy prawns, mushrooms, dory fish, and squid. This was so garlicky and a bit too spicy for me but so shiok!

7) Pasta Risotto

This is another pasta stall at the Old Airport Road Food Centre. Had this before the circuit breaker. I wanted to try the Carbonara Spaghetti from Pasta Risotto. The spaghetti was tossed in a delicious cream sauce with savory bacon. The cream may look heavy but it was not gelat at all. This is so worth it for $6! They have a different variation of the classic pasta with a choice of different sauces. Although they are famous for risotto, they have more Pasta options.

8) Vics Pasta And Grill

Vics Pasta And Grill is another Hidden Gem which is located at Golden Mile Tower. People usually go there for thai food only. I ordered the seafood cream pasta which comes with prawns, squid, and fish. The hot dog was complimentary. Although there was so much cream, this one surprisingly not cloying. yummy! They have a large selection of western food such as fried rice, mains, and pasta.

9) IL Piccolo

It's hard to find western food that sells mainly pasta these days and if you find one they are usually either not authentic or just sell mainly tomato-based pasta. Il Piccolo has been around Toa Payoh for ages!! Where can find a hawker store that serves up affordable and somewhat authentic Italian food like IL Piccolo!?

Address: 970A Toa Payoh North
Singapore 318997
Opening Hours: 10am - 9pm daily

10) Meet 4 Meat

These homemade pastas are a rich and savory vessel for the creamy carbonara sauce. There were sauteed onions, bacon and fresh herbs tossed in as well. Yummy and not overwhelming. Not many hawker stalls make their own pasta, many are those readily able dried ones. This comes affordably at $10 too!
They don't have delivery options yet, only takeaways but if you want to try homemade pasta, do give them a try!

Address: 228 E Coast Rd, Singapore 428925
Opening Hours: 12pm - 9pm

11) Western empire

Western empire is a western food stall located in Marine Parade. They have a really creative menu like Nachos, pesto, and Hawaii grilled chicken, pesto grilled fish, nachos crispy fish, and cereal crispy fish, Korea hot spicy chicken burger, a variety of cutlets. But, I really like their pasta here!

The Shimeji Mushroom Spaghetti is so well-cooked and is evenly coated in the cream sauce. The star is of course the shimeji mushroom which is Nicely charred and has an earthy flavor that I like. I have also tried the Shimeji Mushroom Spaghetti Aglio Olio style which was spicy!

12) Fūdo Western

Another rare find is Fūdo Western which is located at the Golden Mile Food CentreFūdo Western had quite a few fusion dishes and what stood out is the Spicy Mentaiko Spaghetti which comes with a dollop of torched mentaiko in the middle, clams, and zucchini. Toss it well and you will have an umami mouthful with every slurp. Avid mentaiko lovers will love this! They also have the Prawn Miso Angel Hair and the usual western food such as Chicken chop and Fish & Chips.
