Ichiban Boshi’s New Festive Menu Offers Exquisite 7-course Japanese Meals at Affordable Prices

The four different specials, which include beef in red wine sauce and succulent black pork, start from just $25.9

The festive season is upon us, which means that it’s time to indulge! Ichiban Boshi introduces 4 limited-time special sets that are perfect for celebrating the end of the year. These elaborate, 7-course sets are inspired by carefully planned Japanese meals, with every course crafted specially to complement each other.

Launching on 10 November, each of the 4 special sets features a unique main course. Each set is served with 6 other courses, which include a homemade miso soup, a comforting cup of chawanmushi, and a refreshing Kanten jelly with mixed fruits to end the meal. Best of all, each meal comes with one course that incorporates Quorn's meat-free delights for a guilt-free treat!

First up is the Spicy Chicken Sugiita-yaki Gozen ($27.9++), which features a juicy chicken steak that’s marinated in an addictive spicy sauce and grilled on a cedar wood sheet for a smoky fragrance. This mildly spicy dish is accompanied by a mini rice bowl topped with salmon flakes and salmon roe, expertly seared scallops, and salmon sashimi drenched in fragrant truffle oil, and crispy, deep-fried wantons filled with Quorn meat-free ball.

Seafood lovers will want to try the fusion-inspired Rosemary Nitzuke Maguro Steak Gozen ($25.9++). At its heart is a generous serving of thick tuna steak and vegetables that’s laden with a piquant rosemary sauce and sprinkled with popping candy, adding layers of delight to every bite. It pairs perfectly with the accompanying pork skewers with long beans and quail eggs, the fresh bowl of salad, and the chewy stir-fried noodles with Quorn meat-free balls.

Looking for something hearty? Go for the Pirikara Kurobuta Gozen ($26.9++). The mouthwatering black pork is tossed with Quorn meat-free balls and assorted vegetables in a savory spicy sauce that’ll leave you wanting more — though you’ll also have to save room for the juicy prawns with sweet-and-spicy sauce, the minced pork and Japanese vermicelli wrapped in a delicate rice paper spring roll, and a toothsome mini sushi rice bowl with marinated salmon sashimi and salmon roe.

Finally, for a decadent meal worth taking the time to savor, there’s the Red Wine Beef Gozen ($27.9++). Imagine premium beef, tender mushrooms, and fresh vegetables all simmered in a special house red wine sauce to create an intoxicating — and delicious — umami flavor. On the side, you’ll find a plate of succulent gyoza, a fresh green salad, and a mini sushi rice bowl topped with Quorn meat-free nuggets and avocados. Ichiban Boshi’s Festive Indulgence menu is available at all outlets from 10 November 2020 to 28 February 2021.
