RECIPE: TOMATO NOODLE SOUP 番茄浓汤面

Saw this recipe on Xiao Hong Shu 小红书 which is IMO china's Instagram. haha, much interesting content there and as a foodie, I had to check out some of the recipes there. 

Soupy food like Tomato noodle soup is comfort food to me! When the weather is cold or just craves for something when I'm stressed up, I make this. I love how saucy and tangy the broth is. :)

The general idea of this Tomato noodle recipe is that I can add almost anything I have in my refrigerators such as scallops, prawns, and wantons. This recipe is so versatile! 

This will be ready in less than 30 minutes. The soup is really rich, and delicious!


Ingredients:

1 tomato, sliced

1 egg

Garlic, minced

Noodles

1 tablespoon ketchup

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

Salt and pepper


Method:

1) Heat oil in a large frypan and cook minced garlic until it starts to turn golden.

2) Add the tomatoes and Fry until the tomatoes become saucy.

3) Add 2 bowls of water and boil until boiling.

4) Add 1 tablespoon of ketchup, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Season with salt and pepper.

5) Cook the noodles in the mixture according to the packaging and add a fried egg once the noodles are cooked.

6) Ready to serve.


I added the scallops, prawns, and wantons at step 3 so they will be cooked after step 5.
