Fall in love with lobsters at 15 Stamford by Alvin Leung

Four types of lobsters are on offer at 15 Stamford by Alvin Leung in September, making it a delectable dinner for two. Choose two lobsters of your choice from Indo Lobster, Slipper Lobster, or Boston Lobster for only S$198++, totaling 800g to 1kg each order. For something a little extra luxe, you can opt for the Premium Rock Lobster for S$298++ (1kg to 1.2kg per lobster), with an advance order of three (3) days' notice. Each order comes with a choice of two sauces from cilantro emulsion, Gruyere cheese Thermidor, tomato masala sauce, and yellow curry sauce and is inclusive of chargrilled brioche and sea grape salad.

A Mid-Autumn afternoon tea with mooncakes at the Lobby Lounge

The hotel’s signature Afternoon Tea from the Lobby Lounge takes on a special Mid-Autumn theme with additions of mooncakes to its tea repertoire. For the whole month of September, the four (4) course Mid-Autumn Afternoon Tea Set (S$68++) per person comes with a tasting portion of four (4) mooncakes – Baked White Lotus Paste with Egg Yolk, Baked Pandan Paste with Melon Seeds, Snowskin Strawberry with White Chocolate and Snowskin Lychee Rose. New handcrafted savories have also been added including Crispy Pumpkin with Salted Egg Sauce, Barbecued Pulled Pork in a Sweet Bun, Smoked Duck Yam Croquette, and Crab Brioche with Sweet Pickle. Meanwhile, Longan and Red Dates Cake, Orh Nee Mousse with Ginkgo Nuts, and Baba Au Rhum with Honey Mochi and Osmanthus Liquor complete this sweet treat. Additionally, the quintessential Scones come dressed with a light dusting of Salted Egg Yolk Powder to suit the occasion. They are all created to match two types of TWG Teas and diners get to bring home their very own Kempinski Afternoon Teabox.

Guatemalan Rum takes center stage at The Bar @ 15 Stamford

The Bar at 15 Stamford celebrates its recognition as one of Singapore’s most well-stocked rum bars with two cocktails made with Guatemalan rum this month.

The Psychopathia (S$22++) is a potent concoction of dry, layered flavors that bloom into a dizzying explosion of layers made with Xibal Gin, dry sherry, dry vermouth, and chocolate liqueur. A twist of orange peel lends the nose a fragrant citrus whiff before the lips jump into its rich sips. On the other end of the palate sits the sweet and sour Maize Cup (S$22++) made with Botran 8-year rum, homemade Falernum, sweet corn syrup, citrus, and ginger ale. Matching its fruity profile is a topping of fresh pomegranate for a soothing sweet aftertaste.

Frieda German Restaurant gets the Oktoberfest party started

Frieda honours its German roots with the quintessential celebration of Oktoberfest with – what else – beer and great food. For S$38++, diners are welcomed to drink all the beer on tap they can for a good and proper celebration; a la carte orders are also available for S$12++ per pint and S$23++ per 1 litre. There will also be U-Boot Beer cocktails for S$12++, with beer served in a rock glass and topped off with a Jagermeister shot.

Food is not amiss in this annual Bavarian beer festival. For S$55++, enjoy one pint of beer and free-flow of food for 2 hours, including items like Bavarian Sausage Salad with gherkin, onion and Gruyere cheese, German Weisswurst with sweet mustard and pretzels, Baked Camembert with cranberry sauce and sourdough bread and half Pork Knuckle and Nurnberg Sausage with sauerkraut and mashed potato. Polish it all off with Apple Bread Pudding for dessert.

Spice Bomba! takes spice up a notch at La Scala Ristorante

Carbs and cocktails get even more dangerous with Spice Bomba!’s promotions where everything is made extra spicy for the month of September just for kicks. It is offering a Deep-Fried Calamari (S$25++) liberally dusted with Italian mala spice and served with a highly addictive Calabrian Bomba dip sure to meet the expectations of spice-lovers. There’s also the Bomba Calabrese Spaghetti Aglio Olio (S$29++), cooked with extra chili and spice and served with a side of creamy burrata. Pizza lovers will love the Pizza Bomba Calabrese (S$30++) made with Italian salami, a spicy Calabrian paste pounded from a mix of chilies, mozzarella, and oregano. Finally, wash it all down with the Speziato Negroni cocktail (S14++) that laces the gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth cocktail with infused bomba chili. Hot doesn’t begin to cut it!

Triple cheese treat at Broadway American Diner

Broadway American Diner can’t get enough of cheese this month with its Triple Cheese Burger (S$22++). Its Angus beef patty burger is layered with three types of cheese – Gruyere, cheddar, and breaded mozzarella – before dressing it up further with bacon, portobello mushroom, tomato slices, onion rings, and a drizzle of truffle aioli followed by a dash of mustard. Add on Sweet Potato Fries or Curly Fries for S$4++.

It’s mocha madness at Berthold Delikatessen

Chocolate is the treat of the month at Berthold Delikatessen, served up as mocha drink specials. Warm-up with the Hot Mocha (S$8nett) where chocolate and coffee are melded together in a creamy milk froth and sweetened further with chocolate sauce, chocolate shavings, cinnamon powder, and chocolate biscuit rolls; or cool down with Iced Mocha (S$8.60 nett) made also with indulgent dark chocolate, cocoa powder and coffee before topped with whipping cream and toffee caramel syrup. Pure chocolate hedonists will revel in the mocha Mousse Jar (S$8 nett) that comes with decadent layers of coffee mousse, chocolate fudge cake, salted caramel sauce and coffee crumble.
