REVIEW: Good cafe in Singapore: The Alchemist at the Mill - Hidden coffee place in a Batman gothic vibe building

This building is a structure I would never expect to find in an industrial area. Truly a rose amongst the thorns. It stood out with its fortified Gothic towers and its pitch black facade caught my eye immediately. This screams Batman vibes. lolol

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a slew of black-and-white artworks by local graffiti artist Ceno2.

The cafe Alchemist was the main reason I went. I adore the gothic aesthetic that extends inside the cafe and perfectly complements the structure. With brown leather sofas and chandeliers, the café's seating area is similarly decorated in a gothic style.

They serve coffee and a modest range of pastries from local micro-bakery Bakehaus. Customers were taking coffee away when I was there on the weekend.

The thrills don't stop there. Because the rooftop is open to the public, I took some cool photos there with the jutting columns as a backdrop.

Address: 5 Jln Kilang, #02-02 The Mill, Singapore 159405
