REVIEWING INSTANT NOODLES FROM AROUND THE WORLD

Noodles aren't all the same. Instant noodles are a low-cost option in Singapore. Not only that, but the popularity of instant noodles stems from their ease of preparation as well as the flavor of a single packet or two of seasoning. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I'm sure many people have been working from home. Right now, we're featuring some of my personal favorites from around the world. These noodles are available in supermarkets as well as online retailers such as Shopee and Lazada.

Prima Taste Laksa Wholegrain Lamian (Singapore)

Having the Prima Taste Laksa Wholegrain Lamian today! The noodles are not the usual instant noodles kind but these are Wholegrain, thicker than normal, and springy. The broth was so good with the right amount of spice and rich from the spices. The broth also looks and tastes legit like Laksa with the addition of coconut milk powder. I added my own tau pok, wonton, and prawns.

Vifon Viet Rice Noodles Pho Ga Chicken Flavor (Vietnam)

I think I saw this Vifon Viet Rice Noodles Pho Ga Chicken Flavor at a thai mart. The noodles had a light flavor and were not easily broken. The serving size was also generous. Even though there was a package of chili oil, the soup had a strong chicken flavor and didn't have much of a spice kick. I topped it with tofu, prawns, a lemon slice, and spring onions.

Nissin I (China)

I purchased the Nissin I on Shopee. Italian bolognese sauce, cheese bacon, and seafood are the three flavors available. Despite the fact that these are instant pasta, they're not horrible! The bolognese sauce is my personal favorite. The tomato flavor is quite thick and tangy!
The bacon with cheese was really tasty! Bacon, pasta, and cheese are a winning combination.
This has a tomatoey flavor rather than a strong seafood flavor.

Myojo Ippei-chan MENTAIKO Yakisoba (Japan)

Trying out the Myojo Ippei-chan MENTAIKO Yakisoba. I totally enjoyed the umami flavors of fish roe! These yakisoba noodles come with a savory yakisoba sauce, a mentaiko infused mayonnaise, and cabbage, roasted nori seaweed, and fish roe garnishing.

Mama Creamy Tom Yum Shrimp Instant Noodles (Thailand)

Trying out the Mama Creamy Tom Yum Shrimp Instant Noodles which was allegedly the No. 1 Instant Noodle In Thailand. Added luncheon meat and carrot slices and prawns and garnished it with spring onion. This was packing with tom yum flavors, not so creamy but can get kind of choking. Gotten this via @redmartcom.

Chia Yi Shi Ri Sesame Fagara (Taiwan)

Each pack comes with 4 individual packs of noodles with sesame sauce, pepper oil bag, and soy sauce bag. To get the whole experience, I recommend adding everything.
It doesn't strike me as particularly spicy. I added vegetables, ham, scallops, and prawns to make it my own. The flavor is full-bodied and aromatic. This is something I'd get again.

Ram-Don (Jjapagetti and Neoguri) (Korea)

Ram-Don (also known as Jjapaguri) is a dish produced by combining Jjapagetti and Neoguri noodles in the same pot. It's chewy noodles with a dash of spicy udon flavor in a Jjajang sauce. This dish is featured in the film Parasite, and if you like Jjajangmyeon, you'll enjoy this pairing. I don't have any beef at home, so I make do with meatballs from IKEA. Ram-don is a quick noodle dish made with black beans and spicy seafood. yummy!!!
