All the Sakura or Spring themed food in Singapore to savour without having to go to Japan!

TBH, I have never seen a Sakura flower in real life before. I remember I once booked a trip to Japan to see Sakura many years back but I got the dates wrong so end up I missed the trip. This year, I decided to try as many Sakura-themed food, desserts, and drinks. Here's a short compilation. The last 2 were from press releases that I have posted here on the blog before.

1) Starbucks

I will always try one of the sakura drinks by Starbucks every year! They had the Strawberry Dream Crรจme Frappuccino® this year.

The pink and white ombre look is a combination of strawberry and vanilla made with milk, ice, berrylicous strawberry syrup, and dreamy vanilla syrup, then topped with indulgent whipped cream and colorful sprinkles for a fun finish. Quite sweet but I like strawberries. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคญ

They also have the Strawberry Dream Pure Matcha Latte with matcha balanced with milk and strawberry syrup then topped with light layers of strawberry flavored cloud foam for a subtly sweet finish.

The Beautiful cherry blossoms didn't bloom at Nana's Geen tea. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป‍♂️๐ŸŒธ

Sakura Parfait consists of whipped cream, strawberry ice cream, yam, cornflakes, and strawberry jam at the bottom. Doesn't look as pretty as in the promo pics with the white and pink gradient. the pink was non-existent. the jam at the bottom looked messy.

Sakura Latte tastes like strawberry milk with a bloody mess of strawberry jam drizzled around the cup. ๐Ÿฉธ

3) Flippers Singapore

Springing into the ๐ŸŒธ seasons with Flippers Singapore! I ordered the exclusive limited edition Sakura Kiseki Pancakes ๐Ÿฅž and Sakura Matcha ๐Ÿต.

The Sakura Kiseki Pancakes consist of 5 pink soufflรฉ pancakes with ice cream and mochi in the middle. Decorated with preserved Sakura flower, strawberries, and strawberry powder. This was nice!

The Sakura matcha was however only pretty to look at but taste not so good. ๐Ÿ˜น

The pancake is limited only and is not available anymore...

4) Sushi Tei

Spring into Haru Matsuri at Sushi Tei!
The Sakura Haru Roll is from their new, seasonal menu.
Fruit sushi roll topped with crab meat and sakura fish floss. Love the sweet and fruity twist on a Japanese classic, especially when the outer rice layer is tinted beautifully like sakura.

Other Highlights include unique ingredients grown or produced in Japan such as Sakura Hiramasa, A4 Kumamoto Wao Wagyu, and Mozuku (seaweed).

Spring is here to say hello ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป! Asanoya Bakery Singapore is celebrating with the Sakura series. I ordered the Sakura An Pan and Sakura Croissant and made it a set with their tomato ๐Ÿ… soup.

๐ŸŒธ Sakura An Pan
Sourdough with a blend of imported Sakura, stuffed with Japanese Red bean. The bun was so soft and fluffy. The fillings weren’t v sweet also. Prefer this over the croissant.

๐ŸŒธ Sakura Croissant
Buttery flaky croissant with cream cheese sprinkled with crushed pistachio and Sakura flowers. The cream cheese taste could be richer. Would have been better if there were more pistachio.

Other items for their sakura series include the Sakura KaruizawaPork Katsu Sando, and Kani Kama Tobikko Kyuri Sando.

Whenever I think about Sakura season, I would imagine having a nice picnic in a place full of sakura trees like How the Japanese do. Maki-San has this limited-edition Pinku Sakura Picnic Mega D.I.Y Combo to celebrate all things Sakura!

I had the Pinku Sakura Picnic Mega Diy Combo Salad with Cold Udon, Roasted baby potatoes, shredded cheess, tamagoyaki, ebiko, avocado, with Okake furikake, smoky cheddar cheese, and lobster mayo. The set also comes with Pinku sakura strawberry roll and Jusu Jusu Kyoho Grape Juice Drink.

Hello, again cherry blossom! tbh never seen a real one before, so need to try as many as possible. #springinmatchaya Matchaya with their Sakura Desserts!

We had the Sakura Pate A Choux that is piped with luscious and floral sakura cream with a beautiful pink craquelin.

We also had the Sakura Cruffin which comes with a crispy croissant exterior with floral sakura ganache topped with pistachio nuts.⠀

Known for its jaw-dropping presentation of its ramen offerings, Menbaka Fire Ramen is set to unveil its spring menu. There are five delicious mainstays that will whisk you away to the Land of the Rising Sun! The menu will be available from Wednesday, 6th April.

Pair off with the Sakura Milk Latte ($6.90), that’s full of cherry blossom fragrance. The smoothly frothed milk is infused with organic hibiscus, rosehip, and beetroot. A pinch of chai and beetroot also enlivens the beverage’s natural color. Cap off the session with the Sakura Yoghurt Pudding ($6.90). The fresh and natural low-fat yogurt pudding is topped with real preserved Sakura flowers from Japan — this Instagram-worthy dessert boasts a gorgeous river flow effect.
