For two days only on 27 and 28 May 2022, Kuriya Japanese Market will be going live from Osaka Central Wholesale Market and other locations within Osaka to auction fresh bluefin tuna alongside natural fish and other seafood offerings, as well as premium Wagyu beef, seasonal Japanese fruits, exclusive sake and a limited selection of artisan Japanese kitchen knives.

Exclusive Livestream Shopping Experience in Japanese Market: Seafood, meats, produce, and more

Look forward to the highly prized Bluefin Tuna sashimi, including popular cuts like akami, chutoro or otoro as well as more exotic cuts like kama (collar), cheek, eyeball, and nouten (crown of the head) which come in extremely limited portions. This is made possible because Kuriya buys the whole fish and has its professional chefs cut it up. Enjoy fine-dining-quality bluefin tuna sashimi at prices never seen before. 

There will also be a wide variety of whole fish available at Osaka Central Wholesale Market. You may expect seasonal catches like Kinmedai (Golden Eye Snapper), Houbou (Gumard), Isagi (Threeline Grunt), and Renkodai (Renko Seabream), subject to change, depending on the catch of the day. These fishes are caught fresh from the seas, proton froze immediately, air-flown to Singapore, and delivered right to your doorstep for you to make into your favorite dishes.

For more treasures of the sea, expect Hokkaido Kegani (Hairy Crab), Zuwaigani (Snow Crab) Legs, Ikura Shoyuzuke, Anago (Conger Eel), Hokkaido Uni (Sea Urchin), Sakura Ebi and Hokkaido Scallops. On top of the fresh catch, viewers can also stand a chance to bid on condiments like nama wasabi complete with a hand grater, as well as authentic Japanese kitchen knives to complete their shopping experience.

On the beef front, high-quality Kuroge Wagyu is available in the form of Karubi Shortplate, Harami Yakiniku Slices, Ribeye Yakiniku Slices, Rump Steak, Striploin Steak, and more. 


Fruits are also aplenty with options of the latest luxury seasonal fruits including a variety of premium Japanese Melons, Mangoes, Peaches, Muscat, and Kyoho Grapes. 

Indulge in the sweetness of the prized Crown Melon, Quincy Melon, or the Andes Melon. Crown melons are among the most highly valued in the country, also known as the Japanese King of Fruits. Crown melons are produced in Shizuoka Prefecture and are renowned for their musky scent, and sweet and juicy flesh with a smooth texture. Both the Quincy Melon and Andes Melon come from the No.1 prefecture, Ibaraki Prefecture, which produces the most melons in Japan.
